You’ll love the taste of celery in this juice as it is not like the conventional celery, this is green and locally grown. It’s light, refreshing, and the whole lemon juices in the recipe help to lift and sweeten the flavour a little too!

Whether you’re taking part in a juice cleanse or simply wanting to increase the amount of potently powerful greens in your diet, this Good Morning  Raw Lively Organic  green juice recipe is certain to leave you feeling… Alive and feeling great!

Raw Green Juice Recipe : O.G Juice

Makes about 1 quart/ 32 oz/ 4 cups

 Ingredients:

  • 1  of Green Celery  with all the leaves about 6 stalks
  • 1 Bulb of Fennel
  • 4 small apples mixed varieties
  • 1 little nugget of ginger
  • 1  handful of your favourite seasonal local green herbs, parsley, coriander, rocket, go the extra mile and pick some fresh nettle tops for added minerals.
  • 10-12 sprigs mint
  • lemons and/or limes, juiced with the skin for that added zest for life and extra extra boost of enzymes
  • for the added Alkaline boost and a good blend, absorption, no shock, just kind and gentle here we add a choice of your favourite oils, mine i use in this recipe are a teaspoon of  cold pressed hemp seed and olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of your favourite sun dried artisan sea salt 
  • 1 teaspoon of spirulina
  • add some fresh wild rosehips for some super live vitamin C !!
  • Garnish with a sprinkling of  Cayenne pepper

This has changed again we have moved that break fast up to dinner and stay with our lemonades and teas. We are feeling very good health from this start to the day as an experiment…We eat a little lamb and have some eggs and cheese, all from grass fed, beasts we have a deep respect for life, love and laughter and an awareness of KARMA GOOD BAD OR INDIFFERENT. We live and eat in consciousness, no longer shop from supermarkets period,, and only eat Wild, Bio Dynamic and Organic, we never ever ever compromise this, we are planting up a garden and in the next 5 years i will have my own livestock, so that we can have access to curds and whey, bee honey, and butter milk, butter fat, lamb and goat meat, once in a blue moon. Since we last converged we have been working to get our micro industry of confection off the ground, this is being tempered like some heavenly sphere of good ness and is happening much like the tortoise and not the hare. Our products are coming and they will make a benefit to society, communities and the culture of life that we wish to embrace.

It is great to have returned to my home, Wales.

land of fresh air, good coastlines, pristine, the home of organics, the culture is strong here. The micro industries are stirring, we are branding Wales, here you find co operation not competition. Here the magic of our ancestors is here, the skies are full of birds of prey.

This is a taste of Wales, pure Mountain smelt, pure water, undulating, lots of moss, lichens, heritage varieties of Hawthorn Berries. Ancient Oaks, abundance of flora and fauna, this land is rich with Antiquity. The air is Pristine. This is our coats of arms.

The children have space. Life is good. So with kind and gentle steps. We seek to bring something unique to the table, as a celebration of life, and the very essence of food being the best medicine.

Hawthorn Berries excellent for the heart. Tree foods contain powerful minerals and sustenance. We still have our Ash, Oak and Thorn, we still have hope. Balance and integrity.

With the healing and our wish for our children to have a good life, with as little need for chemical drugs, we strive to pursue greatness in all that we do.

So we create a medicine garden, utilising permaculture gardening ethics of working with all the things in nature we have around us to compliment the lifestyle we wish to see.

HONEY MEAD SEAWEED BLACKBERRY MULCHING MISSION

On the hunt today for Seaweed Fucus and Ascophylum nodosum. These have particular Qualities good for the Human learning Ancient Galician Ways which are the Ways Traditions of my Great Grandfather Joseph Gabica Mariner Trader and Titan of Indus Try he made a lot of Gold Sovereigns back in the day. So today we go to get Seaweeds and some Mead from the Honey farm in Neuquay as a Medicinal compound most Efficacious in every way. Peace zeeshan.

Artisan Zeeshan collecting the Bread and Cake for the Earth, feet chilly from the cold freshness feeling proper alive and like am doing something good for others, planting up the new beds on wedesday with red onion and garlic :)) and winter greens. Feeling like in time will live somewhere like Sicily or Greek Islands :)) ♥ so that i can get out into the ocean and get seaweed off the rocks :)) in the ocean ♥ maybe the Basque, but this is where i am at, beautiful views up to Snowdonian mountains. ♥ got mead and a bucket of black berries life is very good. Rich and Poor all in one guess am now FULCRUM ♥

In between this time of having our own annuals and perennials we are attracting local varieties of apples that do well here, and learning, learning, learning, about what will do well here as time stands now, with crazy evolution in the climate. Transformation is going on everywhere. First was Pollarded Ash, Beech and Hazel Leaves, some ferns, and other wild bits as fillers, Layer two was Organic Worm rich sheep Guano (Shit) layer three a mixture of Sea Weeds and Crushed Shells for added Calcium, Lime Vibes ? :)) Next to pollard moor leaves today :)) Rock and Roll, making the best ever compost :)) Poor man’s version ;) ?? :)) ♥ Minerals.

The plants have arrived, Kale,  endives, japanese winter greens. We dress with rock dust and age old rotted down organic green silage, herb grass mulch, to stop the weeds, and give these little ones a chance.
These beds are the most living organic medicinal beds. Learning today about how to bring balance with slugs, and know that i want mead brewing all shapes and sizes whereever i go…i love the idea of collecting all the rosehips to make fantastic brews, so many different berries magnetizing, the hedgerows are brimming with life, guess it is right to say these Monsanto guys are a bit nuts to think they could ever do better than our Mother BIO Diversity abundant untamed Nature that we all are and have within us :))
This is what i learnt brand new about what it is we can eat and use for fertiliser like Vigo my Basque brother who started the organic movement in Northern Spain back in the day.

On our first search for apples we did not find them at the old Abbey ruins, but what we found was the Yew Berry, Ancient Yew Tree, the berries we ate were exquisit ♥ but do not eat the seeds!! Poison!! X They tasted like they knit healthy light and contain something quite unique, like an okra or sweet aloe.

Akira had a great birthday, we ate grapes fresh of 100 year old roostock that had been from variety given to our Queen Victoria, a good 100 years old!! they tasted superb, they were so tasty. Blessed what a memorable 6th birthday for our little boy :)) ♥

We said if Akira had been a girl we would have named her Keira but if he was a boy, then it would be Akira, which although a boys name in Japan is a girls name up in the Islands of Gaelic Scotland, wonderful ♥ he is Akira Solar-Moon as he was born on the 2006 Harvest Moon, he was a Lotus baby, we had learnt how african tribes kept the umbilical cord attached to the baby and let it naturally drop off in its own time, links to stem cells, and guardian sentient friend to the baby, awesome, strong resilient little man cub :) the solar moon is also like before Solomon as lilith is to eve :) ♥ my take on it anyhow :)) Akira has a love of the Arts and Crafts, he also enjoys flowers, flora and fauna. And we arrive to collect some grapes for Akira’s birthday.

And there was the first bunch carefully prepared for our tasting, such love and kindness ♥

With seed, we only eat grapes once a year usually Muscat French grapes, that have a perfume nasance that is second to none, really perfume of the senses, these are in par and the very best, we anointed Akira’s cake with these beautiful jewels :)

 

We had four bunches to pick and to see which were ready for us on this day. So blessed and happy to still be able to share in the dream with my children for the very idea of the Opulent reality, planting the seeds of wealth creation, health and happiness, life is good, thank you.

We had Beznar choose the first vines, he has a good eye for fruits, berries. Margaret carefully prunes the leaves off and uses them to hold the grapes within keeping the delicate must in tact, the goodness, to heal and to really enjoy the food as the best medicine.

There was great anticipation as we selected our four bunches, such a great day, beautiful and inspiring.

Nuala listens and learns, nice to attract fellow Artisans with a passion for the Arts and Crafts, important for our children to be nourished by healing foods and biospheres that celebrate expansion and positive education in creation.

The colors in the greenhouse were off the chart,it was much brighter, No camera could capture this pink, BEHOLD THE GREAT PINK, SHE HAS SPOKEN :))sUCH A HEALING LIGHT WAS THE EMANATION love and recognition of a dream i had in Leicester about an old lady, vials, and something that was of a mystery to me at the time called Alum was revealed in the very heart of the Bon Tradition, seems me and Kate are going to fulfill our dream of dye and textiles, our dreams are coming true, this is the test of no compromise and the keeping going, the reluctant messiah, keep on trucking and follow that bliss, ♥ and do your best, you will get rewarded for your efforts in the most unsuspecting mannerisms :) ♥ light life is good ♥ love to you all, this is why many a time have got into a ruckus, because he the man wishes to know unconditional love, not this hippy stuff, but the real stuff dreams are made of. As we say goodbye to the glasshouse we go to learn about the Textile mill, Beznar turns the wheel, and my battery dies, until another day, we have 8 more bunches to collect.

Amazing day had by all, the highlight was an invitation by wonderful industrious lady to her working textile mill, where upon arrival we got to give our little boy a vine from 100 year old rootstock that was given to queen victoria, the grapes were off the world, beautiful, such opulence, and vigor, the mill was a most beautiful piece of Art, the whole day ws Art out of Time pure PAN Galactic, rolling with beauty and magick of wormwood textiles and beautiful flowers of life engraved onto slate, beautiful balance in brass to weigh the dyes of Alum, on the eve we all ate good pomegranate last of the black berries birthday cake, superb, and sat down to make Batmans cave and watched breakfast @ tiffanys with Audrey Hepburn, a lovely home made meal, Akira stayed up later than usual and played cards till very late for him, must be now he is 6 ♥ :))

Yesterday was a wonderful day so to keep the celebration of Akira and the Harvest Moon we went on an adventure to collect sea weeds and to surprise the children on our hunt for the rare Atlantic Seals and their Pups, did we find them find out on our next blog, will also share why we have been collecting Atlantic Seaweeds. The Why, the hows, the knots, the causes, the craziness, we need space, we wish for transformation and education, to awaken to our power, and to be the ambassadors for good health and wealth and wellness.

The move was prompted as we wished for more space, also a wish to get sirius with our Cake Making skills and take the next step in our families evolution, transformation. With health and wealth creation. Healing drives us to learn new things and remain teach able. To know that we don’t know and to keep enquiring into this world of health, eating, living, abundance, movement, physical, mental and spiritual insights.

Since moving here we have met really kind warm hearted families, people in love with their crafts, people so passionate about food it gets you on fire, have met people who care about their animals and have an awareness strong for culture, organic.

The movement for sovereignty is mighty here, here you will find emissaries of Peace, noblemen and women that work to uphold the traditions of color, and wealth and health creation. People here are young at heart and here is cooperation, not competition, life is good, and we are all in this together.

We have a good home, great neighbours and are living on an Organic Farm, surrounded by artists, horticulturists, organic farmers, breeders, windmills, windswept trees, flora and fauna, Mountains, Sea, Breezes, Birds of Prey, Cattle, Birds!! So much life. It is exciting to be a part of the solution, and awakening in consciousness through creative acts of working for the light and greater good.

Space is what we wished for space is what he have got.

The next blogs will be all about fabulous bilingual Wales, where here more than 52 percent speak Welsh, so you can truly make contact to culture at her best, longevity is alive and well here. The young are all about the Earth as they manage their own livestock with organic practices dating back way way back. Life here is wide and fresh like a breathe of fresh air.

Red kites adorn the skies with their scries, abundance of water from springs, good clean air, and a love of the earth and her wisdom. Wind swept loaded with ions, Wales is alive and kicking with greatness and wake fullness, getting busy now preparing raised beds for spring and the winter months.

So where does papa Zeeshan start? Well i guess from the beginning. :)

Ok we were living in Somerset, children with their diabetes, good specialists, Dr Tamsin Nicole was a hidden treasure, a good woman and friend to our family, we had worked with her for 7 years building science, and showing that alternatives can be put to practise successfully and provide children and parents living with this condition less stress. By adopting a practice of experimenting and questioning everything to find a balance with our children and the life living with this chemical GMO insulin. From living with this so called incurable dis ease we have come across many types of different insights and information that has enabled us to make gentle little steps towards something of a balance. Our life revolves mostly around food and the children’s growth and wellness development.

We home educate so it is really important that the children have space to be free and creative with their ideas and learning. South Somerset had become too small, and the last blog or so, the visit to the Oak Moor they call Dartmoor was something of a spell cast by daddy Warlock and the Alchemist Hedge Witch and Mother to our children Kate, and our children and pets, we felt at home on the Moor, Something far greater and older, wiser was drawing us, to live the truly wild and abundant life of our very nature as humans, the drover inside of all of us, the cain and able, the wish to really plant a seed and love and nurture and always to remain teach able, to new ideas, and new thoughts, to invite healing into our lives and a taste of spontaniety.

The food has taken a new leap, a new journey, through the decade of living with the type one diagnosis, we have tried all food lifestyles, raw living foods, vegan, vegetarian, alkaline, calorie restriction, whole foods, always all organic, no processed foods, just simple clean foods.

We are now looking into the works of primal typing, so for example i come from a line of Pure Afghan Bloodlines and Basque Irish on my mothers bloodlines, so my food revolves around say mountain glacial waters, wheats, semolinas, apricots, almond, high alpine milks, cheeses, lamb is dominant meat, lots of spices, herbs, minerals and buttermilks, also sea foods, sea weeds. Was born naturally in Wales so my natural wellness and balance is to be living by Mountains and Sea Air, to really thrive and feel at home, must be around farming natural practices that embrace culture in the sense of RAW and Unpasteurized Dairy, grass fed lamb, and practices that have been passed down from generation embracing the life of thriving on life foods, that have been grown with an awareness of love sense intelligence, no nasty chemicals, friendly to the biosphere (environment).

So this today and always is a promise to add value, for good health, no nasty additives, an awareness of the stupidity caused by the use of pesticides, the blatant disregard for life and culture by companies like Bayer and Monsanto and their use of these harmful agents, used first in war, same as the fertilisers used, all came from bomb making ingredients. We take the nest step, and we leap, and we embrace and we do not know the how, but in our hearts we are driven by something unknowing. Another Great Day here.
Another Lovely day at the farmhouse. Awoke to sleepy embers still glowing. Found a Mab gallery in Lampeter they wish to see my Art Works. Seasoning my new cast iron pan. Really really laid back. All morning been rehoming elements of

 our lives. Had Sourdough Toast with local Raw Cheeses and Home made marmalades and jams all organic to a pot of Tulsi and Mint Tea fresh out of the garden. Kate has just found Lemon Balm plants. Had my first go on an Electric Bike a Kona that crossed the Americas. My body clock is back to Root of the Day. Puppy training well. Really excited about the next few months of what is emerging. This home is so spacious and living. No internet till the tenth of October! But am archiving photos daily so will have a beautiful montage of light and sound to share with you all then. The Journey to Devon

We are fortunate to live on the side of a Hill and an Ancient Hill Fort, we live on the Devon, Dorset, Somerset borders.

We had been down to Riverford farm foods to get some fresh fruits and vegetables for the week.

On the way home we wished to surprise the children with a mystery journey to find the wild horses of the moor.

As we windy windy got off the fast roads and into the Dartmoor National Park we headed West and up the high roads to get deep into the heart of it, we passed green mossy rocks falls, and then over the cattle grids we met our first rare breeds of cow, sheep .

Amazing vast space and an abundance of wild flora and fauna. To ignite, invoke the imagination with whirlwinds of fire.

Alchemical Kate dances with her happy feet, a much deserved adventure, we love to walk it is the best exercise, good for all the senses. Happy to get to what can only be described as an Ancient Druidic Temple, Ruins, Fallen Meteorite, maybe something out of the Dinosaur, Jurassic Period from outer space, the Galaxy, from the far body of the Escade System.

They may be Giants….Such a magnet of Tectonic Beauty. The children were gone with the Elementals.

Alchemical Arrives, with the Children…..

We all headed up to this, the walk, the hike, the views, the energy, words cannot really describe, the feelings, to just be and not have to think, to be surrounded, to adsorb this greatness into our very being. To be a part of the one, the all. Everything connected in beauty, no judgement here. Just ions, we are cloud busting energy. Thriving in awe, a true mystery school, awaiting the children of Bran. Could our ancestors, Warrior Priestess with her dogs and horses be buried here, with their golden brocades, to pass on transmissions to them that are tuning their radio waves, brain waves to such activity?

Who knows, what mystery is here for us, to know that we know very little, to be teach able.

A lover of acid soils, particularly high moorland and heath, the bilberry provides the forager with a vitamin-rich fruit with a purple bloom. Also known as whortleberry and blaeberry the fruits may be eaten raw or cooked. They make a wonderful bilberry pie. We just ate them raw……

………and there on the horizon amongst more fallen rocks, we found what we had been looking for, a tribe of wild ponies, mother, papa, children all together amongst the rocks, foraging the wild herbs and living foods of the moor.

Summer food has never tasted this good, fresh green herbs out of your yard, hand picked mint eaten within an hour of picking is second to none. You are guaranteed to feel enlivened. If you are what you eat and drink, and we really cannot know this, but if we are then, lets get salsa minty fresh…good for you, get out the guitar, and castanets. x Are you ready to divine your experience. Ingredients:

Sundried Organic Tomatoes

Bunch Herb’s Mint

Lemon

Real darn good fresh grey sea salt of the earth, the flower of the ocean

Red pepper

Red Onion

Vine Tomatoes, or a Heritage Tomatoes

Cayenne Chilli

Olive Oil

Recipe:

1 Cup of soaked sundried tomatoes x by 3 for Akira’s portions in good spring water.

Bunch of good herbs, mint in this very good. juice half a lemon.

Dash of good salt to taste,

chop red pepper, chop red onion small, soak this in the lemon juice exquisite, you could also try lime as a variation, add some ginger x

Method:

Ist blend sun dried in soak water add pinch of salt, 2 sprigs of mint, then add two vine ripened tomatoes and then pulse blend slowly, add half a tea spoon of good cayenne pepper and add one table spoon of good oil olive is very good.

Now ready serve with our nut burgers, or garden patties, samosa :)

Children and adults love this, add you and spice up your light, you are electricity, you can feel supercharged, from a simple love affair with your apothecary. Please feel free to make any suggestions, comments or observations.

All the ingredients ready, patties in the dehydrator, herbs smelling every where, mouth watering chutney now ready, the children love this, no corn starch, no sugar, stabilisers just pure good old fashioned chutney, fresh as the morning sun, put some spring in your step. Or spring in your organs. Spring in your palette.

Garden Nut Bite Size Homegrown Herbal Patties

This recipe involves a bit of preparation but once made you can store them and have throughout your week, so then it becomes a fast food.

Let us make some good fast food treats, that we can make and have ready to enjoy on their own or as an addition to a hearty dinner. Loaded with life.

This recipe makes 28 bite size burgers, great if you are busy, and want a quick snack.

It is great to have with a cucumber cooling lemon and tomato avocado salad, some home made flax chia seed cracker breads and a home made pepper minty tomato pickle.

Ingredients and Method rolled into one:

3 cups of soaked almonds

salt to taste

Half a cup of olive oil cold pressed and stone ground

Half a cup of spring water

Blend till smooth….

then finely chop a sumptuous handful of Oregano, Sage, Marjoram, any herb combo you like, Coriander is always a winner

Chop or grate some fresh root ginger and turmeric

we add some of our own home made chilli powder 2 tsp

6 celery stalks chopped

The juice of one lemon.

Next we mix all these ingredients together in a bowl, then shape into small patties.

Dehydrate for 2 hours.

Smoothie Fruity Fennel Minty Fresh Blended Drink.


Summertime is a great time for being creative, now you have a mass of fresh garden herbs and lovely summer fruits. To add to your nut milk.

Ingredients:

When you add the following ingredients together you get some wonderful alchemy going on in a smoothie base.

Base

i) One litre of home made Almond Mylk

ii) http://vitalitytree.mytouchstoneessentials.com/supergreens-d/

iii) 1 whole fresh green coconut flesh or 1 Tbsp coconut oil or other oil.

Leave for a few hours to infuse.

Then add

1 Avocado

A punnet of strawberries

A punnet of blue berries

1 tablespoon of peruvian algarobba ( Mesquite meal )

2 tea spoon cinnamon

2 tea spoon of vanilla powder

a handfull of fennel stalks and leaf of fennel

4 sprigs of fresh mint

So repHreshing and hydrating, have fun this is your day. x

Creamy Chia Ambrosia Creme Nice Pudding Recipe.


Chia, or salvia hispanica L, literally means “strength” in Mayan and can be traced back over 3,000 years to Central America where the Aztecs utilized it as one of their primary plant sources of food, notably their third most important crop next to corn and beans. Chia was considered more valuable than gold and was often used to pay taxes and tribute to the Aztec nobility.

Description

Chia is a true power food and makes for an amazing base to a sweet and more than easy to prepare raw vegan pudding. Alchemical Kate of Simple Authentic Superfoods  shares with us her technique for making a delicious Vanilla Coconut  and Goji Berry flavored chia pudding rich in all 21 known amino acid, essential omega 3 fatty acids, iron, calcium and gentle soluble fiber. This pudding has a very  dreamy creamy ambrosia taste. It is perfect at any time of the day.

A great antioxidant source, chia provides high levels of chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, and flavanol glycosides. These are all strong polyphenols that maintain proper function of bodily organs and tissues and that protect against cancer and cardiovascular disease through the removal of damaging free radicals.


Ingredients

2 thirds (2/3) of a cup of chia seeds, (pre soaked in 3 cups of water) the day you wish to make this recipe

2 cup of Almonds pre soaked overnight

4 cups of spring water  to make the Almond milk with, this will make a lovely creamy milk.

2 tsp vanilla powder

3 table spoons of dried goji berries pre soaked for about an hour in just enough water to cover them (we are looking to keep that real juicy fruity flavour locked in

Dash of salt

1 Table spoon of coconut butter

2 Table spoons of coconut flesh

Cinnamon to garnish

Organic Almonds after being soaked for 12 hours see how plump and alive they are? Soaking the Almonds removes the Almonds enzyme inhibitors there by activating the nuts full nutritional potential. Now you Know. x

Methods/steps

1) Soak your almonds, 12 hours before you wish to make the recipe..

2) Soak also the chia seed at the beginning of the day you wish to make the sweet dish..

3) Make almond milk…

4) Put almonds pre soaked in a blender (we use a vita mix)…

5) Take 4 cups of water….

6) Add your pinch of salt…

7)Use a nut milk bag, strain the milk through the nut milk bag..

8) Add your coconut butter and flesh and the vanilla…

9) Blend away till smooth and creamy…

10) Add 3 cups of your fresh home made milk to the chia seed, mixing gently with your fingers to massage out all the lumps..

and because you care…

11) It will start to thicken out, then you add your goji berries with the soak water of itself…

12) Then leave to infuse for a few hours…

13) Then when we come to serving this up serve 2 to 3 table spoons depending on how hungry you may be…

14) Use the almond milk you have left to serve with this as a cream milk and garnish with some fresh ground cinnamon.

The pudding is ready to eat and happily will feed a family of 3 children and 2 adults for two days, depending on how hungry you are!! x

Recent studies show that those eating the most cruciferous vegetables have a much lower risk of prostate, colorectal and lung cancer-even whencompared to those who regularly eat other vegetables: In a study of over 1,000 men conducted at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, WA, those eating 28 servings of vegetables a week had a 35% lower risk of prostate cancer, but those consuming just 3 or more servings of cruciferous vegetables each week had a 44% lower prostate cancer risk.

We love Broccoli <3 and we use all of it, the Heads are steamed and we collect the stalks for juice time through the day.

I always love to know the goodness of what else the fruits and vegetables and their friends are doing other than their distinct individuality in flavour, textures. So here is a bit of the good stuff on the Broccoli a much loved friend in our repertoire.

Scientists have found that sulforaphane boosts the body’s detoxification enzymes, potentially by altering gene expression, thus helping to clear potentially carcinogenic substances more quickly.

Like other cruciferous vegetables, broccoli contains the phytonutrients sulforaphane and the indoles, which have significant anti-cancer effects. Research on indole-3-carbinol shows this compound helps deactivate a potent estrogen metabolite (4-hydroxyestrone) that promotes tumor growth, especially in estrogen-sensitive breast cells, while at the same time increasing the level of 2-hydroxyestrone, a form of estrogen that can be cancer-protective. This is amazing news.

A Cardio-Protective Vegetable
Broccoli has been singled out as one of the small number of vegetables and fruits that contributed to the significant reduction in heart disease risk seen in a recent meta-analysis of seven prospective studies. Of the more than 100,000 individuals who participated in these studies, those who diets most frequently included broccoli, tea, onions, and apples-the richest sources of flavonoids-gained a 20% reduction in their risk of heart disease.

When it comes to building strong bones, broccoli’s got it all for less. One cup of cooked broccoli contains 74 mg of calcium, plus 123 mg of vitamin C, which significantly improves calcium’s absorption; all this for a total of only 44 calories. To put this in perspective, an orange contains no calcium, 69 mg of vitamin C, and 60-about 50% more-calories. Dairy products, long touted as the most reliable source of calcium, contain no vitamin C, but do contain saturated fat. A glass of 2% milk contains 121 calories, and 42 of those calories come from fat.

Especially if you are pregnant, be sure to eat broccoli. A cup of broccoli supplies 94 mcg of folic acid, a B-vitamin essential for proper cellular division because it is necessary in DNA synthesis. Without folic acid, the fetus’ nervous system cells do not divide properly. Deficiency of folic acid during pregnancy has been linked to several birth defects, including neural tube defects like spina bifida. Despite folic acid’s wide occurence in food (it’s name comes from the Latin word folium, meaning ‘foliage,’ because it’s found in green leafy vegetables), folic acid deficiency is the most common vitamin deficiency in the world.

Broccoli contains glucosinolates, phytochemicals which break down to compounds called indoles and isothiocyanates (such as sulphoraphane). Broccoli also contains the carotenoid, lutein. Broccoli is an excellent source of the vitamins K, C, and A, as well as folate and fiber. Broccoli is a very good source of phosphorus, potassium, magnesium and the vitamins B6 and E.

What is a Goji Berry?

Goji berries, also known as Wolfberries, are one of the most nutritionally dense superfoods on the planet. They contain a vast array of unique carotenoids, vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients. Among these it is also believed by many to be one of the best sources of antioxidants on the planet.

Antioxidants
Antioxidants help to protect our DNA from damage by free radicals and radiation. Without an ample supply of antioxidants our body becomes open to illness and accelerated aging. Free radicals are generated as a byproduct of normal metabolism and exposure to toxins and radiation. This eventually results in an early cell death which has been contributed to a variety of diseases and to the accelerated development of mutated cells that may lead to cancer. All of this is countered with the help of antioxidants.

Carotenoids 
Goji berries are one of the best sources of the carotenoid antioxidants, even more than carrots. This is important since research has indicated that the carotenoid content of human tissue is a statistically significant factor in determining our maximum lifespan potential. This means the more carotenoids we consume, the better the possibility we may live a longer life.

Eye Health
Goji berries also contains some very important nutrients for eye health. These include zeaxanthin and lutein. A diet with increased levels of zeaxanthin and lutein has been helpful in decreasing the risk of developing age related macular degeneration, the leading cause of blindness and loss of vision in people above the age of 65.

Immunity And Longevity
Goji berries have also been found to boost the immune system. There are three main components in the goji berry that do this: polysaccharides, beta-carotene, and germanium. Polysaccharides are well known for their immune boosting properties, while beta-carotene seems to boost interferon`s stimulation on the immune system. Germanium, which has been found to be effective in treating certain types of cancer, is also critical in boosting interferon levels. Goji berries also contain sesquiterpenoids which have anti-inflammatory properties. The sesquiterpenoids contained in goji berries are found to be a powerful secretagogue. A secretagogue stimulates the secretion of the human growth hormone by the pituitary gland.

Due to the vitamin and mineral content of goji berries, and the fact that they are the only known food sourced with secretagogue, goji berries have long been known as a longevity food. In fact, legend has it that a man named Li Qing Yuen was believed to have lived to the age of 252 years. It is still unknown if this case is true or not.

Nutritional Profile
Goji berries contain 18 amino acids including all eight of the essential amino acids, making it a complete protein. They also contain 21 trace minerals including: calcium, copper, germanium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, selenium, and zinc. For a vitamin content they contain vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin B-complex, and vitamin E.

Many South American cultures enjoy traditional healthy foods and culinary treats. If you were to visit Peru, you may be surprised to find that lucuma flavored ice cream is more popular than vanilla or chocolate. Lucuma is a South American fruit that is gaining popularity as a healthy, whole fruit sweetener. It has a similar taste to a mango and has a beautiful golden yellow color. It adds a healthy sweetness to smoothies, raw chocolate and cakes.

The Incan Fruit

The lucuma tree was first seen and reported by Europeans in Ecuador in 1531. The lucuma tree is an evergreen that has been cultivated since ancient times and was once hailed the “Gold of the Incas.” As a native fruit to Peru, Chile and Ecuador, it has been spiritually revered because of its taste and healing power. It has been found depicted on ceramics at burial sites of the indigenous people of Peru by archaeologists. Today it is still a prominent feature in celebrations and life.

Because the lucuma fruit is so precious to South American countries, it is actually not allowed to be exported as a whole fruit. Instead, the powder is being exported and used to create delicious recipes.

A Healthy Sweetener

Lucuma is an excellent source of carbohydrates, fiber, vitamins, and minerals including plentiful concentrations of beta-carotene, which makes it a powerful immune system booster. It is rich in iron, B2 and B1. It`s also high in niacin, which makes it a cholesterol and triglyceride balancer.

The fruit has a slightly breast like appearance and has been associated with fertility and nourishment by the cultures who have enjoyed it. It is a great sweetener for women who are breastfeeding.

Our Self Seeding Wild Flowers Native to Britain Anastasia Garden.


I guess we are self taught in bio dynamics and permaculture.

The wildflowers have sprouted in our raised beds, we encourage and celebrate all that choose to be with us, and are excited on the arrival of new flowers, friends to the Bees, and all of their kind.

In our garden we promote bio diversity. We embrace all that which to inhabit our garden, and encourage, natural organic holistic gardening practices. We only use copper tools on the Earth inspired by Viktor Schauberger. here is a little about the tools and the man himself .

Viktor Schauberger was an extraordinary man, a visionary with a new, integrated way of understanding the processes of nature. A forester by training, he lived in Austria in the first half of the 20th century. Through observation of the workings of nature in the forests under his care, he developed a view of the Earth as a living entity, with water as her lifeblood, a living fluid.

Viktor Schauberger

Viktor Schauberger rejected academic training as a young man, preferring to learn from experience in the woods and mountains while he did his work as a forester. He was a patient, intuitive man. He had opportunities granted to very few today – he could observe Nature in her raw state, undisturbed by human technologies. In the mountains where he wandered, some areas had hardly ever been visited by humans before. How many of us, in the course of our work, have stumbled across the place where the chamois go to die? And seen the flowers grow on their grave?

He learned from what he saw, the ways of Wise Nature, as he called it. He developed an understanding of the way that Nature worked. He then, much later, developed practical applications based on what he had observed. The copper tools project was an exception – most of his inventions were to do with water. They led to his being given the nickname ‘the water wizard’.

The copper tools project

From his understandings of the ways of living Nature and his experience as an engineer, Viktor came to the assessment that cultivating the soil with copper implements would be more beneficial to the Earth and lead to healthier plants. In his writings, he listed several reasons for this.

Primarily, he believed that using iron or steel implements to work the soil was detrimental. Everything in Nature is in movement, moving towards either growth or decay. If metallic iron is exposed to the weather it will rust and decay in a relatively short time. He could not see the logic of trying to encourage plants to grow using a material that is in a process of decay. Copper, on the other hand, is much more stable. Nuggets of metallic copper have been found in the Earth. It is not antagonistic to the Earth, is not in a process of decay. (In fact, it actively resists harmful bacteria. More about this on thecopper page of this site.)

Secondly, he believed that on planet Earth, growth occurs in cooling conditions, in the medium of water; and decay occurs in conditions of warmth: the medium of fire. That is why compost heaps get hot. The heat encourages the constituents of the heap to break down, to be accessible for the next cycle of growth. Iron has greater frictional resistance than copper. This means that as an iron or steel ploughshare is dragged through the soil it heats up. With copper implements the friction is greatly reduced.

And thirdly, iron is a sparking metal. A spark is a discharge, a loss of energy. Viktor Schauberger believed that as the groundwater makes its way to the surface, it acquires a weak electrical charge. This charge is part of what nourishes the plants. Using iron tools depletes the groundwater of this charge, leaving less for the plants. Copper is a non-sparking metal, so there is no loss of energy in this way.

In the late nineteen-forties he collaborated with an academic from Salzburg to institute some field trials to test this idea. They grew a range of eight crops over fourteen trials, cultivating each test plot half with a copper-plated plough and half with a conventional steel plough as a control. The results were consistent. The crops cultivated with the plough with copper ploughshares had larger, healthier yields and fewer pests.

Despite the success of the trials, for various reasons he was not able to go into commercial production. However, his family kept his ideas alive and in the late 1990′s a coppersmith was invited to develop a range of garden tools, inspired by Viktor Schauberger’s work nearly half a century previously.


The golden plough revisited - Jane’s story

The copper-plated plough used in the Salzburg trials  came to be known as the ‘golden plough’. There is a diagram of a plough in Callum Coats’ book about the work of Viktor and Walter Schauberger, ‘Living Energies’. Shortly after the launch of Implementations, as a tribute to Viktor Schauberger, I decided to try to make the plough, based on that diagram.

An engineer agreed to make it, and after much difficulty with deciphering the small diagram and working out how to make the template, he managed to make a copy. This was trialled at the Biodynamic Association conference, Botton Village in 2004. It almost worked, but not quite. The engineer then moved on to other ventures, I had neither the skills nor the resources to carry on the project myself, and so it was shelved again.

However, various things have been learned. When the engineer and I trialled the plough, one clever man asked – what is your archetype? All we could say was – we copied Viktor’s drawing. I now realise that simply won’t do, for me anyway. When I am dealing with living things, I want to bring as much of myself as I can to the process. That is what Viktor did and that is why he is such an inspiration. He made a connection with the essence, the life of water and from that connection had understandings that were not accessible in any other way. He loved the water and the trees and was greatly saddened when the logging flumes he designed were used to denude the mountains. He had a reverence for nature that made it safe for these living processes to reveal their secrets to him. That’s how I see it now. It’s what humans can do. Then the skills they have acquired in their life determine the applications they can make and what they can do with the understanding.

After that trial, I decided to focus on what I could do, so I wrote a book about Viktor Schauberger, trying to see the world from his perspective. For me now, it is greatly enriching to know I can engage with the natural world in a similar way to the way Viktor Schauberger did. That is the most important part of his legacy for me.

Frau Schauberger is the widow of Walter, Viktor Schauberger’s son. At the time of our conversation, when she was 89 years old, she was living in the family home in Bad Ischl, upper Austria. Each time I saw her she was wearing the traditional Austrian clothes, the close fitting tailored jacket and a dirndl skirt. Although she is less than five feet tall, she has a powerful presence. She shows a sharp intelligence. She speaks some English, more than my German, so our conversation was mainly in English. She was concerned that she would not be able to express herself well in English, so at each meeting we had an interpreter sitting with us.

 

 

Thank you for agreeing to talk to me about your memories of Viktor Schauberger.

 

 

Goethe talked about the difference between poetry and reality. A large poem can come from a small core of reality. I want to tell the reality about Viktor Schauberger as I remember him. There are not many people alive now who knew the real Viktor Schauberger.

I only knew Viktor for a short time, from 1952 until he died in 1958. I did not spend a lot of time with Viktor. Walter and I lived in Bad Ischl, and he lived in Linz.

He was one of the special men of the twentieth century. But by the time I knew him, he was disappointed about many things. It was always the same, all his life. His ideas always fascinated people, but few people could put it into practice.

The Schauberger family has a long tradition of working in the woods. Do any family members do this work still now?

Viktor was the last. He had grown up north of Linz, in an area of original woodland even now. This is rare in Austria these days. He was a soldier for four years in the first world war. He fought in Russia, Italy, Serbia and France, and was wounded. After the war, he worked in the wild woodland until 1924, then his forestry work was finished. After he built the logging flume (his first invention, which brought him to the attention of a wider audience), he was invited to work in Vienna. He was the last one in his family to work in the woods. Now nobody does that work. There is no hunting, nobody works in the wild woodland.

What did Walter and Viktor talk about?

Walter said, ‘Help Nature, help the trees. We have to have many more trees, more woodland. The first task for the woodland is to bring the water into existence. What can we do for Nature, what can we do for the woods, and what can we do for the woods and the water together?’ He always talked about this.

This was a time of industrial growth, the time of the German postwar economic miracle. Everything had to be bigger and better. These two men, Viktor and Walter, said it is not good to always have bigger and bigger. They said you have to look, where is the concentration, the essence, what is important for the whole of life. For Viktor and Walter, this was the important thing. How they could put this idea across so that people could understand it.

What did Viktor talk about?

Viktor Schauberger always said, ‘Think about Nature. Nature has to have a long time to grow. So natural things do not happen immediately.’

He used to say to Walter, ‘Now, everything is more expensive than water. But you will see, the next war will be about oil. And even more than oil, about water.’

 

He always said, ‘CAN’T YOU SEE IT? Can’t you see the water climbing up in the trees, 30 metres or more? There is no pump in the Earth! Nature works silently, without heat or pollution. In industry there is always noise and heat and pollution.’

 

He said that with the way industrial society has built up, now we are up to our necks in problems, we are drowning in difficulty. What can we do to get humanity back to the right way? He said, ‘Who will speak for the water? For the Earth?’ Nowadays, things are a little better than in Viktor’s and Walter’s time. The times are turning towards Viktor Schauberger’s way of thinking.

Viktor wanted to provoke people, to make them think. He would say to the engineers and professors, ‘You don’t know. You can’t even tell me how a blade of grass grows. And if you can’t tell me that, then what about the trees?’ Then he would put on his hat and leave.

He was a compelling speaker. When he spoke, everybody listened to him, and they understood what he meant. But when they went away and tried to remember it, the influence diminished. They remembered the feeling, not the understanding. They didn’t remember what they had understood when they were in his presence. It was as if a connection had been cut.

He had a group of devoted supporters, who loved to listen to him speak. Afterwards, they would say, ‘That was excellent!’ But when he asked them what they had understood, their jaws dropped and they said nothing.

My father-in-law was an impatient man. Sometimes he was angry and frustrated that his life was too short for him to put across all his ideas and the whole of his vision. He said, ‘Can’t you understand me?’ Looking back, I can see that he was unhappy. He spoke and spoke and spoke, and nobody seemed to hear him. It was like talking into thin air. And many of the people who did listen to him, they wanted immediate answers. For Viktor and Walter, the understanding of Nature came first. The machines came much later.

For Viktor, his life’s work was to speak to everybody, to make people think. He knew he had to put across the whole of his vision before he died. By the time I knew him, I think he could feel his approaching death. This gave him an extra sense of urgency. He had a very clear vision of what was needed. For him, it was simple. So he was very impatient when people did not understand.

I think now that he began to have doubts towards the end of his life. He began to wonder if he had achieved anything at all. His ideas were so simple and evident to him, but nobody else seemed able to grasp them.

The tragedy of Viktor Schauberger was that he was unable to communicate what was so clear to him. He knew that people did not understand, but he never asked if the reason for this was with him. It was always everyone else who was at fault.

Another problem was that he did not trust people. He made everything himself, because he did not trust other people to get it right. I think he was afraid that people would take his ideas and use them wrongly, either through ignorance or intent. His work was so unconventional, so extraordinary, that some people thought it was trickery. This was not helpful.

Viktor and Walter thought the same things. Why did they disagree?

They had the same idea, but father said, ‘Sorry, it’s my idea!’ He was often angry with Walter. There was a lot of difficulty between the father and son. Viktor always said, ‘Be quiet, you don’t understand what I mean!’

Viktor came from intuition. His three older brothers all had an academic education, and were distinguished men. But Viktor did not trust the thinking of people who had studied academically. Viktor believed that a person’s thinking is spoilt by academic training. Academic training prevents people from appreciating the ways of Nature.

Walter had studied Engineering at the Technical University. Viktor did not like to share his ideas with him. He was afraid that Walter would explain his ideas incorrectly, that he would say things Viktor could not accept.

One day, father came to Ischl. He and I had a discussion. I said, ‘Father, it is not so. Walter knows these things too.’ Viktor asked me, ‘Do you support Walter?’ I said ‘Yes, I stand by him in what he does, and I know that Walter also has an intuitive understanding of the ways of Nature.’ Viktor reluctantly accepted this, and after that he never said another word against Walter. They worked well together in the end, in the last two or three years of Viktor’s life.

In the end, Viktor said to Walter, ‘I think it is good that you studied academically. You can speak with the academics, the engineers in their language.’ Because nobody understood Viktor’s language. They were reconciled, and this made Walter very happy. After that he was more settled.

Walter respected his father and his ideas. Walter would translate his father’s ideas in a way that people could understand. Walter was intuitive too. He was the sort of man who could see that a woman was pregnant before she knew it herself! He could bridge the two worlds – he was intuitive and academically fluent. Viktor also bridged two worlds, from that of the old knowledge from his own father to the present. Viktor was a hundred years before his time.

And then there was the American episode.

We don’t know the exact background of the American adventure. Nobody knows exactly what happened, and many people speculate about it. In 1958 two men, two Americans came here. They promised Viktor mountains of gold. They said, ‘Anything you want, Viktor, you can have. It will be possible to bring it all with you. Come with us to Texas.’ Viktor understood no English, and Walter only spoke basic English. He was only interested in the language of Mathematics and Physics. There was a translator, a naturalised German-American. He said to me, ‘No word. Don’t talk about this to anyone. We are watching you.’

First they went to New York. There was an official welcome. ‘What luck for America, what luck for you,’ they said. They spent three or four days in New York then flew to Dallas. Then they drove out into the desert. They were provided with a bungalow in the desert. And so Viktor and Walter asked, ‘When can we begin to work?’ ‘You must have time to acclimatise,’ they said. But there was no work, no target. Walter did not know why they were there. They always had the feeling that they were being controlled.

Viktor became ill and went into the hospital. They did everything possible, anything he wanted, first class treatment. But nobody in the USA told the family in Austria that Viktor was ill. We didn’t know he was ill.

He wanted to come back home. They said, ‘If you want to return to Europe, you must sign this document.’ He had to promise not to speak about his ideas. If he had any new ideas, he was not allowed to speak to anybody about them. Only to the Americans. He was forced to sign this document. Five days after his return, he died. Before he died, he always said ‘I can’t say anything. They have taken my words.’

After Viktor’s death, an American came and apologised to Walter for the way they had been treated. But he couldn’t explain why it had happened, either. Later, other Americans came, five or six of them at different times. They all said, ‘You will have to excuse the treatment you had. Not all Americans are so bad.’ But Walter had nothing to do with Americans after that.

Tell me about PKS (Pythagoras-Kepler School).

Walter started the PKS. He felt that his life’s work was to explain the principles behind Viktor’s system. Walter studied Kepler’s ideas very intensively, and saw the correspondences with Viktor’s intuitive knowings. He looked for a mathematical explanation of Viktor’s system. Kepler’s work with the movement of the planets was a good starting point.

And Pythagoras?

Pythagoras is almost too far back in the past, but what he learnt in Egypt also has resonances with Viktor’s ideas. Pythagoras was the grandfather, Kepler was the father and Viktor was the son. Each picked up the baton from his predecessor and passed it on. With each of them the expression is different, but the core principles are the same.

(Joerg (her son): Pythagoras and Kepler were both heroes for my father, as they brought the idea of Harmonics into Physics and Astronomy. They led my father to his Natural Tone Law – Natur-Ton-Gesetz – with hyperbolic cones and the hyperbolic spiral as manifestation of harmonics in evolution. That is why the PKS symbol is a hyperbolic spiral.)

I know about Viktor Schauberger’s ideas from reading Olof Alexandersson’s book, and Callum Coats’ translations of his writings. So his message is reaching out to people now.

Olof Alexandersson came here in 1959. He was the first outsider to make connection with Walter. I don’t know where the connection came from. He came here six or seven times, and they kept in contact. He was a great help for us, and still is. Everybody who read his book said, oh, what a man Viktor was! Olof and Walter had an academic relationship. With me, it was a personal friendship.

Callum Coats first came to Bad Ischl one year after Viktor died, with his mother. His mother knew Richard St Barbe Baker, and he introduced her to the Schauberger family. I remember when Callum came. He stepped into the PKS office and saw the spirals drawn on the walls. At that moment, a big door opened for him. It was a life-changing moment. The memory of those spirals stayed with him. Later, he came back and worked here. Callum is a dear friend of mine. I think that wherever Viktor is, he is very pleased with Callum. “

Copper

Copper is distinguished by its colour… that glint of pink, bordering on beige, bordering on orange. It has some other interesting characteristics, too.

  • It is an excellent conductor of heat and electricity. That is why it is used in electrical wires, and for cooking pots.
  • It doesn’t spark. In industries where flammable materials are nearby, non-sparking bronze tools are used instead of iron or steel ones.
  • It does not corrode easily. This makes it a safe metal to use to carry our domestic piped water.
  • It is antimicrobial. The legionella bacterium (which causes Legionnaire’s disease) cannot thrive in copper water pipes. Copper worksurfaces are more hygienic than steel ones.
  • It is non-magnetic. For this reason, bronze tools are used for working with delicate electronic instruments, such as in the computer industry.
  • It is recyclable. Since the earliest times, copper items have been melted down and re-made into new ones. About 40% of the copper in use today is recycled. So your trowel may once have been part of a Roman Centurion’s breastplate.

A function of copper in the human body, and plant metabolism, is to do with energy transfer.

Dowsers have been able to detect a drain of energy near where iron stakes are placed in the earth. No such effect occurs with copper.

Many people find that wearing a copper bracelet helps to ease rheumatic pain.

The word ‘copper’ derives from the latin word ‘cuprum’, which itself derives from ‘cyprium’ or Cyprus. This is because Cyprus was the main source of copper in the ancient Mediterranean.

Here are some pictures of my garden this morning, as we were greeted by our first poppy flowers, what a gift and so full of pollen for the bumble bee.

Such a rich color, and so enduring. My son Akira was so happy to see.

Every year more and more the fox glove finds a place in our garden, the Bumble bees love these, so inviting. What a great flower totem. I love the fox.

Happy Fathers Day to Celebrate The Children’s Fire and The Father Sky. 2012


Our Blog is about the Fine Art of Food, The Fire and all the Elements is Spirited, those forces are vital to be kept as balanced a possible. We do our best to let them be their best teachers. I am going to eat some chocolate today pure homemade to celebrate, our connection, to the past and future and right here right now. To celebrate all 4 corners of the Earth all races of people and their cultures and communities. I give thanks and offer my service to humanity as a Father of Peace. Here to work to fly that banner of my forefathers.

Chocolate is a unique food in that many of its perceived properties are opposites within the humoral classification system. The tannins inherent in chocolate are astringent. At the same time, chocolate melts at body temperature and offers a smooth sensory property in the mouth. Theobromine keeps consumers alert. The high fat content of chocolate satiates the consumer and creates a feeling of fullness lending itself to slothfulness. Adding spices and aromatics to chocolate further complicates chocolate classif ication into hot/cold and wet/dry quadrants. Whether the beverage was based on cocoa (defatted) or chocolate made with vanilla and/or spices, mixed with milk or water, steeped with shells for a tea, or frothed into a fancy concoction a constant throughout the centuries was that the beverage based on cocoa beans was used to treat illness. This tradition that contemporary scholars trace to originating in Mesoamerica continued in 18th century North America after European settlement. Evidence to support chocolate’s sustained medicinal use repeatedly appears in 19th and early 20th centuries newspapers”

You have noticed that everything an Indian does in a circle,
and that is because the Power of the World always works in circles,
and everything and everything tries to be round.

In the old days all our power came to us from the sacred hoop
of the nation and so long as the hoop was unbroken the people
flourished. The flowering tree was the living center of the hoop,
and the circle of the four quarters nourished it. The east gave peace
and light, the south gave warmth, the west gave rain and the north
with its cold and mighty wind gave strength and endurance. This
knowledge came to us from the outer world with our religion.

Everything the power of the world does is done in a circle.
The sky is round and I have heard that the earth is round like a ball
and so are all the stars. The wind, in its greatest power, whirls.
Birds make their nests in circles, for theirs is the same religion as ours.
The sun comes forth and goes down again in a circle. The moon
does the same and both are round. Even the seasons form a great
circle in their changing and always come back again to where they were.

The life of a man is a circle from childhood to childhood, and so it is

Over a hundred years ago Black Elk had a vision of the time when Indian people would heal from the devastating effects
of European migration. In his vision the Sacred Hoop which had been broken, would be mended in seven generations.
The children born into this decade will be the seventh generation.

When I see our Children and Our Elders with diabetes and the elders not being able to break the Sad American Diet way of eating, and giving up it makes me very upset. I weep for the Father. I am a Father and now I cry. My tears will be felt on the Earth, I care and I walk forward a last of the Brave. I am not afraid, my children guide me, my ancestors walk with me. The reckoning is here, we have won. We will rebuild our society, we are, relearning how to live, love and laughter. Medicine that is natural and that cannot be bought, or sold back to man we all have it, and we can cultivate the garden of eden from within, each one teach one.

We embrace the Elements and the Spirits in our lives.

The Hopi Indians, The North American Indians, The Celts and The Dogon are a great inspiration of how we used to live On the Land and Of it, that inspire me that there is another way,a much better way and a way that is not just about profit for one, but a way that is centred around our connection to everything and most importantly our children and their children and so on. That we are not alone in our thinking. What will it take for man to awaken. There is a saying that is  forged in my heart and mind:

Just because we cannot hear the Tree and speak with the Beast 4 legged does that mean they are mute?

What we know is a Thousand Year Old Oak Tree has life flowing through it’s Bark called Sap, we know it has roots, it is perennial, and within it houses many billions of other life forms, some seen and unseen. So where does man have this place to come and chop or worse still chain saw the Tree. This Tree has seen much, experienced what our imaginations can only imagine. When we drive down the road and see a baby badger, a lactating fox dead, dying on the road, a baby brother and sister fox dead on the highway still warm, do we not have some one accountable? If this was a man, woman or child there would be an outcry. But why this ignorance to other beings? How has it got to this?

Could we say the food, drink and doctors we go to listen to, the schools we go to, the churches we go to, have clouded our minds, have dumbed us down, to feeling.

This is why to eat of the Earth is important to us as a family/community/eco village/world.

To let our children help us to remember the ways that are within each one of us.

We learn so much from the Ancient hill fort we live on. Could this be Heaven on Earth?

There was an old lady, from the “Cree” tribe, named “Eyes of Fire”, who prophesied that one day, because of the white mans’ or Yo-ne-gis’ greed, there would come a time, when the fish would die in the streams, the birds would fall from the air, the waters would be blackened, and the trees would no longer be, mankind as we would know it would all but cease to exist.

There would come a time when the “keepers of the legend, stories, culture rituals, and myths, and all the Ancient Tribal Customs” would be needed to restore us to health. They would be mankinds’ key to survival, they were the “Warriors of the Rainbow”. There would come a day of awakening when all the peoples of all the tribes would form a New World of Justice, Peace, Freedom and recognition of the Great Spirit.

The “Warriors of the Rainbow” would spread these messages and teach all peoples of the Earth or “Elohi”. They would teach them how to live the “Way of the Great Spirit”. They would tell them of how the world today has turned away from the Great Spirit and that is why our Earth is “Sick”.

The “Warriors of the Rainbow” would show the peoples that this “Ancient Being” (the Great Spirit), is full of love and understanding, and teach them how to make the “Earth or Elohi” beautiful again. These Warriors would give the people principles or rules to follow to make their path right with the world. These principles would be those of the Ancient Tribes. The Warriors of the Rainbow would teach the people of the ancient practices of Unity, Love and Understanding. They would teach of Harmony among people in all four comers of the Earth.

Like the Ancient Tribes, they would teach the peoples how to pray to the Great Spirit with love that flows like the beautiful mountain stream, and flows along the path to the ocean of life. Once again, they would be able to feel joy in solitude and in councils. They would be free of petty jealousies and love all mankind as their brothers, regardless of color, race or religion. They would feel happiness enter their hearts, and become as one with the entire human race. Their hearts would be pure and radiate warmth, understanding and respect for all mankind, Nature, and the Great Spirit. They would once again fill their minds, hearts, souls, and deeds with the purest of thoughts. They would seek the beauty of the Master of Life – the Great Spirit! They would find strength and beauty in prayer and the solitudes of life.

Their children would once again be able to run free and enjoy the treasures of Nature and Mother Earth. Free from the fears of toxins and destruction, wrought by the Yo-ne-gi and his practices of greed. The rivers would again run clear, the forests be abundant and beautiful, the animals and birds would be replenished. The powers of the plants and animals would again be respected and conservation of all that is beautiful would become a way of life.

The poor, sick and needy would be cared for by their brothers and sisters of the Earth. These practices would again become a part of their daily lives.

Could we be the caretakers of these hidden treasures?

We return thanks to our mother, the earth,

The leaders of the people would be chosen in the old way – not by their political party, or who could speak the loudest, boast the most, or by name calling or mud slinging, but by those whose actions spoke the loudest. Those who demonstrated their love, wisdom, and courage and those who showed that they could and did work for the good of all, would be chosen as the leaders or Chiefs. They would be chosen by their “quality” and not the amount of money they had obtained. Like the thoughtful and devoted “Ancient Chiefs”, they would understand the people with love, and see that their young were educated with the love and wisdom of their surroundings. They would show them that miracles can be accomplished to heal this world of its ills, and restore it to health and beauty.

The tasks of these “Warriors of the Rainbow” are many and great. There will be terrifying mountains of ignorance to conquer and they shall find prejudice and hatred. They must be dedicated, unwavering in their strength, and strong of heart. They will find willing hearts and minds that will follow them on this road of returning “Mother Earth” to beauty and plenty – once more.

The day will come, it is not far away. The day that we shall see how we owe our very existence to the people of all tribes that have maintained their culture and heritage. Those that have kept the rituals, stories, legends, and myths alive. It will be with this knowledge, the knowledge that they have preserved, that we shall once again return to “harmony” with Nature, Mother Earth, and mankind. It will be with this knowledge that we shall find our “Key to our Survival”.

This is the story of the “Warriors of the Rainbow” and this is my reason for protecting the culture, heritage, and knowledge of my ancestors. I know that the day “Eyes of Fire” spoke of – will come! I want my children and grandchildren to be prepared to accept this task.The task of being one of the……..”Warriors of the Rainbow”.

The Children’s Fire is a part of the Earth Wisdom teachings of the elders of the native Americans. Over time, the elders came to understand that all human-created institutions needed to reflect the balance and wisdom observed in nature. The Children’s Fire was a reminder of the promise: “No law, no action of any kind, shall be taken that will harm the children.” It is now time to re-kindle this fire: in our corporations, governments, religion and education.

The Dogon

The cult of Lebe, the Earth God, is primarily concerned with the agricultural cycle and its chief priest is called a Hogon.

Could it be we once planted our crops with a relationship to the Stars, and Moon cycles, The Dogon priests said that Sirius had a companion star that was invisible to the human eye. They also stated that the star moved in a 50-year elliptical orbit around Sirius, that it was small and incredibly heavy, and that it rotated on its axis.

All Dogon villages have a Lebe shrine whose altars have bits of earth incorporated into them to encourage the continued fertility of the land.

According to Dogon beliefs, the god Lebe visits the hogons every night in the form of a serpent and licks their skins in order to purify them and infuse them with life force. The hogons are responsible for guarding the purity of the soil and therefore officiate at many agricultural ceremonies. [Serpent is a metaphor for DNA]

The anti-oxidant flavonoids are extremely rich in the outer layers of the onion. Many people will peel off the first few layers and lose much of these critical nutrients. Be sure to utilize the outer, fleshy edible portions as much as possible. Overpeeling, by taking off the outer 2 layers of flesh will cost one about 20% of its quercetin and over 75% of its anthocyanins.
Simmering onions in a soup or broth will damage some of the anthocyanins but not the quercetin. The quercetin moves into the soup or broth. The lower the heat the more nutrients will be contained in the soup or broth.
Studies have shown that 4-7 servings of red onions each week (equivalent to about 2-3 onions) has been associated with the greatest benefit in reducing colorectal, oral, laryngeal, esophageal & ovarian cancer!!

In the village of Sangha, onion bulbs are smashed and shaped into balls that are dried in the sun. The onion balls are trucked as far away as the Ivory Coast to be sold as an ingredient for sauces. Introduced by the French in the 1930s, onions are one of the Dogon’s only cash crop.

 Why did the Dogon put out their Fire??

One of the last smelting was done in Mali, in 1995, by the Dogon blacksmiths. The event became the subject of a film which was entitled ‘Inagina, The Last House of Iron’. Eleven blacksmiths, who still hold the secrets of this ancestral activity, agreed to perform a last smelt. They gathered to invoke the spirits.

Astronomy

The Dogon are famous for their astronomical knowledge taught through oral tradition, dating back thousands of years, referencing the star system, Sirius linked with the Egyptian goddess Isis. The astronomical information known by the Dogon was not discovered and verified until the 19th and 20th centuries, making one wonder how the Dogon came by this knowledge. Their oral traditions say it was given to them by the Nommo. The source of their information may date back to the time of the ancient Egyptian priests.

Hopi

The following extraordinary Hopi prophecy was first published in a mimeographed manuscript that circulated among several Methodist and Presbyterian churches in 1959. Some of the prophecies were published in 1963 by Frank Waters in The Book of the Hopi. The account begins by describing how, while driving along a desert highway one hot day in the summer of 1958, a minister named David Young stopped to offer a ride to an Indian elder, who accepted with a nod. After riding in silence for several minutes, the Indian said:

“I am White Feather, a Hopi of the ancient Bear Clan. In my long life I have traveled through this land, seeking out my brothers, and learning from them many things full of wisdom. I have followed the sacred paths of my people, who inhabit the forests and many lakes in the east, the land of ice and long nights in the north, and the places of holy altars of stone built many years ago by my brothers’ fathers in the south. From all these I have heard the stories of the past, and the prophecies of the future. Today, many of the prophecies have turned to stories, and few are left — the past grows longer, and the future grows shorter.

“And now White Feather is dying. His sons have all joined his ancestors, and soon he too shall be with them. But there is no one left, no one to recite and pass on the ancient wisdom. My people have tired of the old ways — the great ceremonies that tell of our origins, of our emergence into the Fourth World, are almost all abandoned, forgotten, yet even this has been foretold. The time grows short.

“My people await Pahana, the lost White Brother, [from the stars] as do all our brothers in the land. He will not be like the white men we know now, who are cruel and greedy. we were told of their coming long ago. But still we await Pahana.

“He will bring with him the symbols, and the missing piece of that sacred tablet now kept by the elders, given to him when he left, that shall identify him as our True White Brother.

“The Fourth World shall end soon, and the Fifth World will begin. This the elders everywhere know. The Signs over many years have been fulfilled, and so few are left.

“This is the First Sign: We are told of the coming of the white-skinned men, like Pahana, but not living like Pahana men who took the land that was not theirs. And men who struck their enemies with thunder.

“This is the Second Sign: Our lands will see the coming of spinning wheels filled with voices. In his youth, my father saw this prophecy come true with his eyes — the white men bringing their families in wagons across the prairies.”

“This is the Third Sign: A strange beast like a buffalo but with great long horns, will overrun the land in large numbers. These White Feather saw with his eyes — the coming of the white men’s cattle.”

“This is the Fourth Sign: The land will be crossed by snakes of iron.”

“This is the Fifth Sign: The land shall be criss-crossed by a giant spider’s web.”

“This is the Sixth sign: The land shall be criss-crossed with rivers of stone that make pictures in the sun.”

“This is the Seventh Sign: You will hear of the sea turning black, and many living things dying because of it.”

“This is the Eight Sign: You will see many youth, who wear their hair long like my people, come and join the tribal nations, to learn their ways and wisdom.

“And this is the Ninth and Last Sign: You will hear of a dwelling-place in the heavens, above the earth, that shall fall with a great crash. It will appear as a blue star. Very soon after this, the ceremonies of my people will cease.

All things connect, north, east, south and west.

Near Oraibi, Arizona, there is a petroglyph known as Prophecy Rock which symbolizes many Hopi prophecies. Its interpretation is:

The large human figure on the left is the Great Spirit. The bow in his left hand represents his instructions to the Hopi to lay down their weapons. The vertical line to the right of the Great Spirit is a time scale in thousands of years. The point at which the great Spirit touches the line is the time of his return.

The “life path” established by the Great Spirit divides into the lower, narrow path of continuous Life in harmony with nature and the wide upper road of white man’s scientific achievements. The bar between the paths, above the cross, is the coming of white men; the Cross is that of Christianity. The circle below the cross represents the continuous Path of Life.

The four small human figures on the upper road represent, on one level, the past three worlds and the present; on another level, the figures indicate that some of the Hopi will travel the white man’s path, having been seduced by its glamour.

The two circles on the lower Path of Life are the “great shaking of the earth” (World Wars One and Two). The swastika in the sun and the Celtic cross represent the two helpers of Pahana, the True White Brother.

The short line that returns to the straight Path of Life is the last chance for people to turn back to nature before the upper road disintegrates and dissipates. The small circle above the Path of Life, after the last chance, is the Great Purification, after which corn will grow in abundance again when the Great Spirit returns. And the Path of Life continues forever…

The Hopi shield in the lower right corner symbolizes the Earth and the Four-Corners area where the Hopi have been reserved. The arms of the cross also represent the four directions in which they migrated according to the instructions of the Great Spirit.

The dots represent the four colors of Hopi corn, and the four racial colors of humanity.

All our work is a reflection of our connection to the Earth and that maybe we are part of something more? Really enjoying sharing our passion and desire to be able to root our purpose through our celebration of pure good clean living food as our Art. This is our vessel for expression. Form that has function, we are that. Made of myriad life forms.

Abstract

INTRODUCTION: Studying local plant foods is of particular interest as they often contain high amounts of bioactive compounds. Furthermore, their nutritional and medicinal impact must be documented and supported with scientific studies. Crataegus monogyna is an example of ‘functional food’ traditionally used all over South European countries.

OBJECTIVE: A complete chemical and bioactive characterization of flower buds, flowers, unripe, ripened and over ripened fruits was performed.

METHODOLOGY: Chemical characterization included determination of proteins, fats, ash, and carbohydrates, particularly sugars by HPLC-RI, fatty acids by GC-FID, tocopherols by HPLC-fluorescence, phenolics, flavonoids, β-carotene and ascorbic acid, by spectrophotometric techniques. Bioactivity was evaluated through screening of antioxidant properties: radical scavenging effects, reducing power, and inhibition of lipid peroxidation.

RESULTS: Flowers revealed the highest tocopherols and ascorbic acid contents, as also the best n-6/n-3 fatty acids ratio. Over ripened fruits showed the highest levels of carbohydrates, sugars and SFA. Unripe fruits presented the highest PUFA contents with the best PUFA/SFA ratio, as also the highest levels of phenolics and the most promising antioxidant properties (EC₅₀ < 20.83 µg/ml; even better than trolox).

CONCLUSION: This study shows the potential of different parts of Crataegus monogyna as sources of several compounds, including nutrients and nutraceuticals. Moreover, it supports the documented nutritional and medicinal impact of this species.

I n g r e d i e n t s:

1 cup Germinated Really Raw Almonds* (to germinate them, first soak them in water for 24 hours, rinsing them and changing the water every 8 hours…then STRAIN the water away before using them in this recipe)

2-3 Thai, Costa-Rican Young Coconuts
(2-3 Young Coconut Meats + 1-2 Young Coconut Waters) or Biona Coconut products can be used if you cannot get fresh coconuts straight away. You can ask to order a box of these from any Asian retailer of exotic foods, probably need a weeks notice. Cost should be about £15-£20 a box of 12

P r e p

1) Toss the strained germinated really raw almonds into your Vita-mix blender, or whatever blender is the best for you.

2) Open the young coconuts to get the coconut water out— Pour the young coconut water out of each coconut and set aside for use later in this recipe. Or use a Biona coconut fat and add spring water, with some Peruvian Carob, is good.

3) Using a melon baller or a spoon, scoop the young coconut meats out of the coconuts and toss them into the Vitamix or blender on top of the strained germinated really raw almonds.

4) Add the 2 capsules ofTouchstone’s Supergreens + D.

5) From the coconut water that you set aside in step 2 above, add just enough coconut water to the blender to be able to blend everything into a creamy yogurt (then enjoy the rest of the coconut water as is!)

6) Blend at high speed until the consistency of a yogurt cream is reached.

So right now the Almonds have been soaked, they are now being dehydrated. After being dehydrated you can make them into an Almond butter the children love this, and you can use it as a spread on some homemade artisan sourdough bread, which we are also going to share with you how to make, a unique bio dynamic spelt flour we have sourced. Is simply divine and full of good wholesome longevity.

If you want to feel phenomenal, this food is so important. Unpasteurised Almonds, straight up fresh from the grower. These Precious Organic Almonds have been soaked for 24 hours, they become plump, then we dehydrate them, now as you can see the natural oils contained within that they make a very tasty almond butter. Now we are almost ready to make what most would use a digestive tea biscuit, here we have evolved that practice, we have had to for our children’s sake and for the future generations, who want to have their cake and eat it, and feel good. Like the Golden Days.

We focus mostly on the Almond nut in our preparations, because it is an excellent all rounder, the cashew is creamy, the brazil nice and oily, the hazel and cob nuts when in season here are divine and this year we will do an exclusive celebration when they are in season all about their yumminess and uses, and folklore, etc. But for us focussing on what will work for us right now with overall balance and actual costings being tight, our friend the almond fits the bill. She is good for the children as said previous because of brain development, she is an alkaline nut so really good for clearing the lungs, chest of mucus and expanding, especially in combinations when getting fit, she tastes good and is fun to use, you can play and make good nut butters, and she is probably the nut we use the most alongside coconut and chocolate. There also seems to be a symbiotic relationship  to be there with our deep limbic emotional centre the amygdala, this being the first part of our brain awoken from birth, proper proper deep connection to our relationship to the tree of knowledge, our heritage, her on the Earth,  the apricot and peach seem to be good friends too, and we as a family love this combination, with figs, cherries, berries, smoothies, light living bubbling soma nectar ambrosias. We can easily move into beautiful dreamy laces of dreamy drizzles, frizzles on our tongues, the tang. Proper electric bounce, playful and light, imbue you with light and infuse your chosen art, this is the nature of food and drink, brings a spark to any function, be it in the latest hotspot, work place, home, party, festival, on the streets, where ever, food gets you in the mood.

Fresh fruit we usually use in our cakes and we may use dried organic goji berries and incan berries in our bases for some super infusion.

We adore a good cheesecake, and we are all about the right texture, we have perfected our family recipe in the love of the word ALCHEMY. This love of a good pot of tea and a real slice of good home made cake made in our crazy happening living home is a celebration we want to share with you and the world. You see the ingredients for this cake cannot be bought in a super market of today. It is our vision of the artisan food store of the future. We really wish that you could but it is going to take for us to make it happen. We have not chosen it to be like this, this is how it is. Junk food and compromised foods have taken over . What do i mean by saying that? Well when i was a child i would go to market with my mum in Newport or Cardiff and we would be in the chaos of it all. Many fish stall holders, vegetable producers, butchers, bakers, wine and cheese makers all shouting their wares to the passing customers, looking for good fresh produce. I heartedly remember when we would enter the Wednesday bustling market and we would go straight over to the legendary Samosa man. He would be there with a little deep fat frier,his two condiments one a mint lemon sauce and a chilli sauce, he wore a lovely white ironed shirt, was well groomed, good teeth and a warm smile, deep from the Indian Sub-Continent. Those samosa were second to none, the batter, the filling just amazing.

That for me and watching Enter the Dragon starring Bruce Lee have been strong inspirations of quality purveyed from the open market. I remember a lovely Italian elderly couple who took their fresh cabbages, vegetables to market, collecting fresh game for my grandfather, or fresh green leaves for my grandmother to chew with her fine fennel seed and betel nut condiments.

I worked a market in Somerset for 8 weeks to see what the response was to our signature White Chocolate Lemon and Chocolate Cheesecake, I was so happy to remember the youth of market and to be there sharing my love of our ingredients and our home made cakes, and organic green vegetable leaf, root turmeric like an emissary of my ancestors and friends from that by gone era. The markets down here are quiet, i could not help but share my enthusiasm and want all that passed my stall to be engaged in our lovely home made artisan cake.

The cacaco/cocoa/chocolate and the preparation is an infusion of the best fruits and nuts from around the world that we have sourced to ensure only the best for our children and at an affordable price. The children love the process of the cake being made, you hear them run down the stairs, once those almonds are ready, in the blender they go and that Vita Mixhas a sound about it, once you know!! The children stand around their mum’s legs waiting for what they call base balls. It has become a favourite past time in our home, and i can see this being passed down now from generation to generation x

Sharing our story of cake because I would never of known I was going to be here today sharing with you about cake and our life through the blog.

My promise to you is to share our vital creations. Our learning and joy of being able to teach ourselves and by doing this actually participate not in the destruction of our beautiful planet but in the awareness that we are all part of something whole, our cake is wholeness in creation. It can feed all walks, religions, peoples, pets, beasts in life. It caters for all the humors that a person has. If you are dieting, on pharmaceutical drugs, going through the shit, whatever, you just want to eat something and feel good. Not feel hungry, want some love, nutrition, balance, whole food, tasty, fruity, you want something sweet and repHreshing, and not in the least bit stodgy. This is vegan deli live food cuisine.

The  texture is paramount to the experience as that of the  most fine masacapone cheesecake, very berry with that delicatessen quality second to none. Like a fine plummage, them colours you feed your body, you are feeding so much, I have no idea, but the man that lives in a telescope or micro scope, or plays with a kirlian camera, can show you this,  I have seen the simple difference between an organic kiwi and a store bought non organic one/ conventional, there is a difference, then go the extra mile and check the wild kiwi, whoosh. A tree grows amongst other trees, some tall, some small, weeds we call them, all manner of mammals, creatures, birds, water, soils, rocks, minerals, vegetables, winds, a whole system invigorating the life of the tree, in the tree alone so much life, just from the trunk to the first branch if you had one of them B.B.C Attenborough cameras you would see pilgrims of ants, snails trailing, spiders exploring, spittling webs, fields of silken webs, loaded with ormus, so much, we have not even got to the leaves, or the roots of the tree and that is one alone. There are the flowers, the fruits, buds, seeds, the ever flowing cycle, the planting again, the harvesting, the collecting, the journey is a song in our landscape and each one of us here today is part of that song. Wether old or new cake is good for you. I am here to share with you them six honest serving men. I/We are part of the solution of todays crisis in all the industries, the collapsing economies. This was really Moorish and very light fantastic and had more better qualities of living testament to what a heavenly cheesecake should truly be. ♥ Really lovely layers of Bergamot Lemon Vanilla, Peruvian Carob Layer with Lemon and a Cacao Layer made with Golden Beans and Criola, and the base is an Almond Goji Berry very living sprouted and soaked in alkaline water. ♥ ♥

Golden Cacao beans not fermented, tree picked & dehydrated in their fruit pulp with Criola cacao beans fermented too, these were in the chocolate layer with coconut. I love coconut, it is so versatile. We wish we could get them fresh here off the tree ♥
